Time: Prep – 8 minutes, Cook – 50 minutes
1 cup margarine
1 cup cocoa
2 cups hot water
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
5 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
- Cream margarine first, and then add rest of ingredients, adding one egg at a time and mixing well.
- Pour into 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until done.
Tips: Cake tastes pretty good, it was moist and chocolaty. The frosting was something I bought in a bottle at the supermarket for my nephew’s birthday.
